The symmetrical nipple promotes a tongue placement and sucking technique, where the tongue lies flat against the palate. When it comes to the pacifier’s nipple no size or shape is right or wrong because all babies are different. The shield is carefully designed to curve away from the sensitive and delicate skin around the baby’s mouth to prevent moisture build-up.
